Well, how about Yellowstone in Wyoming? I would hurry if I were you since that park is a ticking time bomb
The Grand Canyon in Arizona is also a must see. Maybe Las Vegas (Nevada)....if you can affort it.
Pearl Harbor sounds interesting too.
To be honest, there is too much to see to visit it all at once.

Really depends on how much time you are planning to visit, and how much money you are planning on spending.

As Mike mentioned the Grand Canyon and Yellowstone, they are major highlights of our national parks. For beaches I would suggest the ones in Southern California, and the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Historically, it would have to be the east coast from Virginia up to Massachusetts.

I did a trip there in 2009 only i did start at Canada. I just went to the tourist area's like New York, Chicago, Las Vegas, LA, San Francisco and some places between. I did like Las Vegas which is not expansive if you dont gamble Hotels are cheap in Fremont street. I stayed there for a while cause it was cheaper than a dormroom somewhere else.

I went to USA in April, I visited : Grand Canyon, Antilop Canyon, Brice Canyon, Moab, Flagstaff and Las vegas (I landed there). Right now I don't remember every places but if I remember I'll let you know

damn, I must lead quite a boring life. I have now lived in Arizona for almost 6 years now. I have not been to the Grand Canyon yet. I work a lot and don't travel that far. My wife and I did go on a 4 day cruise last year to Nassau, Bahamas.
This year I plan on going to the coast of North Carolina. That's where most of my family is.

What kind of things do you plan on seeing and/or experiencing while in the US. There are many landmarks, some just in small towns. Hmm, there is a book, can't remember the name atm. But when I do I will post here again. It may help you.
